Propshaft centre bearing fail - dangerous?
Hi all, I have a D4 on hire from a well known LR ‘specialist’ and I’m having a few problems with them. No further details here as the situation may develop and I don’t want to prejudice any future action.
My question is: the centre prop bearing is completely fubar’d and is klonking when under load. Is it dangerous to drive with the bearing like this? I know it can damage the driveline but that’s not my concern - it’s the potential for a high rpm component failing under my I am concerned about!

Knackered propshaft bearing is now an MOT fail, so it could be argued that the car is unroadworthy in this state. D1 300Tdi - gone
D2 Td5 ES (Alive remapped...mmm) - sadly gone
D4 2012 SDV6 XS - Stolen
D4 2014 SDV6 HSE - Shiny

Failed a MOT due to knackered prop shaft bearing 5 or so years ago.
