2005 Grinding/Rubbing-Front Left going Uphill/Accelerating

I have a 2005 LR3 with 128k miles on it and an issue I am struggling to resolve. I found some other threads on the issue, but no definitive solutions. When going uphill slowly, there is a rubbing/grinding very slight groan coming from underneath the front left side. This also happens under initial acceleration and then at a certain point the noise/rubbing feeling goes away. It can be felt through the floorboard and steering wheel. I also seem to notice this upon deceleration at certain points. My mechanic initially thought it was the wheel bearings so we replaced those, along with the worn out rotors and pads, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else had a rubbing/almost grinding/groaning type of feeling from underneath the front left side while going uphill or under initial acceleration? I'm really stumped on this one, currently suspecting either the front differential or a CV axle.
