Power drop under load, easy fix! |
|
Hi all, a few years ago I suffered with a severe power drop when towing. After many questions on this great forum, I had the turbo intercooler hose replaced which solved the problem.
I have just returned from Devon and had exactly the same problem. Fearing the worst (the car is 18 years old and has 131k miles on it), but hoping for the best, I ordered a new hose to be delivered to site as I found it was an easy fix. I replaced it (after a fraught time getting the hose on at the top), and set off on the way home. It worked!!!!
So, just to cheer you all up, not all fixes are expensive or complicated. £34 and an hour sorted it!!!!
