[For Sale] 2006 bonatti grey Discovery 3 with 4.5 facelift
Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE auto
I am writing this advert with a heavy heart but I will try to keep it concise without going into pages of detail.
Genuine reason for sale, my dog is getting older and developing arthritis so is struggling to jump up into the disco now, she doesn't like being picked up and won't use a ramp, thus I now need a boring and less practical estate car. If that wasn't the case I would happily keep the disco, they are absolutely excellent machines for everyday life and more, and I will genuinely be gutted to see it go.
To the details;
- 2006 TDV6 HSE auto spec in bonatti grey
- 192xxx miles
- Heated leather front and rear with Harmon kardon audio (best I've heard in a car)
- 7 seater
- Discovery 4.5 facelift conversion with the desirable xenon DRL headlamp units
- Heated windscreen
- Towbar with security plate (it didn't have a towbar or the towing electrics until my ownership and I have only towed the most pathetic little trailer to the tip ha)
- Approximately 3 months of MOT remaining (too early to present it for another one pre sale so if it doesn't sell soon I will put it through one if the time comes.)
- Huge amount of space in the back with the seats down
- Tastefully modified (we'll get to that part)
The car is presentable however it has had a life with various stone chips and minor scratches here and there as to be expected with a practical older vehicle that has actually been used, please bear this in mind. It does look good in my humble opinion. There are various little bits and bobs that could use attention but nothing that detracts from actually driving and using the vehicle, it is a land rover after all, and It starts and drives well.
On to the price;
I've had a look on auto trader and the cheapest HSE model (albeit with less miles is currently 2.5k)
I've tried to be realistic on price so that it actually sells so for further consideration here is a list of the extras and realistic values second hand
Tow bar £60
Rock sliders £200 (these ideally need repainting as the factory powder coat is not very good it would seem)
Prospeed roof rack £800 (discontinued)
Compomotive pd1881 wheels + AT tyres £800
Discovery 4.5 xenon headlights + grille £800
Wheel spacers £60
Discovery 4 bumper £100
Discovery 4 wings £100
LED fog lights £30
Towbar capture plate £20
Towing electrics loom £20
Discovery 4 door cards £50
Extras total about 3k value.
Vehicle will come on original reg RA06 HFG.
I would be happy with £4200 for the car as it stands however I can make it cheaper by removing some extras if need be. Thanks for your time reading, any questions please ask!
I have already purchased a replacement vehicle so unless it's an old defender I will likely decline any swaps etc. Thanks.

Is it the early 2006 cheaper tax, or the later more expensive ?

Expensive tax I'm afraid. It's not so hard justifying it when a vehicle is this useful though in my opinion
