If you can rig up a volt meter while you're driving it would be no harm. Just in case the alternator spiking above the permitted threshold.

If it helps here's the 2011 MY diagram so you can compare the two versions just in case you're Italian is a bad as mine. Laughing

Shocked That's a lot of electrical spaghetti - no wonder they are so difficult to diagnose!

Electrical spaghetti? It's no coincidence that the only version of MY14 electrical diagrams I can find is in Italian.

So there I was, ready to crawl under and trace the LIN wire from the alternator to C2531 connector when I realised that the AC and fans were all working correctly. So...an intermittent fault. Those are always harder to trace. I do think that ProfG has hit the nail on the head suggesting a LIN bus problem though.
No sign of voltage spiking as shown on a DVM while driving so hopefully that's one possible cause out of the way.
I'll probably end up just running a parallel wire from the alternator to as far as I can go on the LIN bus trail as there is nothing obviously physically wrong so far with the visible wiring. That can wait for a sunny day soon.

It might just be a plug pin that's not contacting correctly Dave but at least it doesn't appear to be a line break.

If that were to be the case running a parallel line from the alt might be in vain, and you'd have to be certain your remedial efforts were totally sealed especially at the alt end. These things can pull you into places you really don't want to be going!

A case perhaps of "suck it and see" for a while but maybe it has fixed itself. Shocked Laughing
