Thanks for the suggestion but in my case it hasn’t done anything, I was contemplating taking the fuel tank off this morning and fitting new senders but I did another test on both senders and got a reading of 198.0 off one and 162.5 off the other with the MM set at 200K which looks good to me, comments from anyone better qualified than me are welcome, I'm patiently awaiting a reply from GAP to explain why the Iid tool will not load, what’s the point of paying £100’s on a tool that won’t work when it’s needed most, I expect they have broke up for the weekend Big Cry
The big hurdle is getting the ignition switch to work. Twisted Evil

The ignition not switching on is not the fault of the tool

Once you've resolved that fault, the tool will work perfectly fine Rolling Eyes

Those values would suggest to me you have fairly low fuel level, somewhere between 15 and 26 litres depending on which sender you obtained the values from.

Does that match with what you thought was in the tank?

Ps I've sent the res/volt calibration chart to your phone!

Please forgive me for asking a daft question plse as wondering If this may assist u Pat in any way

It says in the link below that u can remove the car battery and use its own power supply , so im wondering if that’s the case by plugging the gap iid into this breakout box if it would then allow the gap iid to power up and read the fault codes plse

Of course at the end of the day don’t wish to be a royal pain

Afraid it’s above my comprehension, I’m still learning how to us the Iid tool and I’ve had it 20 years. Laughing

I wish I knew how to do that! - I’ve tried everything I know, car was running perfectly the fault started after being reversed up ramps with low fuel, the first thing noticed was the mileage to empty showed “—-“ miles and engine was switched off, it did not stop on its own it’s been topped up with fuel, no joy, fuel tank senders test good at rear near side connector, lowered off ramps without moving, tried to start no joy, EPG released, no joy, checked fuses, earth strap, new brake switch, new ignition switch, battery fully charged with Ctek charger, can’t connect Iid tool as ignition will not come on Big Cry although all interior lights come on, SNav and radio even tv works, locks and unlocks, FBH works, BUT STILL NO IGNITION Big Cry

Nearly all back and working, many many thanks to Profr G Bow down Bow down Bow down for his perceiverence and endless patience, although the fuses had been checked many times it wasn’t until the small 2 pin fuses where replaced that the problem was solved.
The only thing left to sort is the wipers only operate at full speed for some unknown reason, possibly a damaged relay as they have been swapped round several times during testing.

Any further clarification on 'two small pin fuses'?
Might be handy for someone else that uses waxoyl.
Also, did this have anything to do with Waxoyl?
