Suzuki Vitara
I have to say, SWMBO is on her 2nd “Jap Crap” Suzuki Vitara, bought new in 2019 as a replacement for her 1st one, bought new in 2015.
The “new “ Vitara is much more a jacked-up small estate car than the old proper 4x4 off roader, but it drives very well, ( Jeremy Clarkson said underneath the plain flimsy feel is a very fine car), has a similar off road capability to say an Evoke, and absolutely nothing has gone wrong with either of the 2 of them over 9 years of ownership.
In over 60 years of motoring, it’s the 1st and only car I would be happy to undertake any journey, of whatever length, in whatever weather, and know we would get back home without a problem.
Jap crap for sure, but……. I’m a Disco 4 believer. What a vehicle!
