First Time Post with Spooky D3 Issue

Hello,

Long time reader first time poster. Amazing wealth of knowledge on here and thank you as we have solved many an issue from info on here. But I can’t find anything particular on a problem like this.

Just realised I cant upload a video. Which was sort of the point of the post. I’ll give a brief description and if anyone can comment if you can upload a video that would be great. Otherwise a bit difficult to explain fully. And, not as entertaining as a snorting Land Rover D3.

When you turn the ignition off and remove the key, the car does some sort of routine like you are putting the keys back in and flicking the ignition on and off. Which results in hazards, instrument cluster, screen all lighting up on/off/on/off/on/off until it eventually stops and deems itself turned off. The heater also comes on/off with this routine, which makes it sound like its snorting. Never heard anything like it.

I haven’t checked anything yet but will commence with some minor electrical tests before pulling anything to bits.

If this has happened to anyone before and has an idea where to start that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Joe
