D3 2005 HSE with SRS air bag warning lamp |
|
Hi folks I have just fixed a water leak in the passenger footwell of my D3, which involved removing the CJB to get access to the hose outlet. This all seemed to go fairly well except that I now have an airbag warning light. I have a simple scanner that shows faults B0010 and B0011 passenger front stage 1 & 2. These can be reset but come back within 2 seconds. When I look at data streams I note that DCR 2 & 3 are 10ohms where as all other resistors are 2 ohms. Can anyone share the SRS electrical diagram or help advise which connections I should check. Hopefully the SRS does not go through rear connectors on CJB? Many thanks Mike Currently D3 2.7 TDV6 owner and restorer

I’d pull the glovebox down
Peer up and see if you can see the rear of the pass airbag.
Maybe disconnect battery
Unplug airbag. Reseat connector.
Retry clearing code
I don’t think it goes through cjb

Hi Pete I lowered the glove box as suggested but everything was in place. Also I could not see where the dashboard air bag connects. However I also removed the small cover behind the bonnet release lever to have a look at everything I had dismantled and found one of the three small connectors that I had disturbed when installing the CJB was not fully pushed home. Reseating this immediately fixed the air bag light. Thanks for the encouragement as you advice got me to look again. The CJB was a swine of a job but I can now look back on it with relief that the problem is fixed. Best wishes Mike Currently D3 2.7 TDV6 owner and restorer
