Lower Rear tailgate

Hi folks. Lower rear tailgate has failed to open using the rubber topped button. No sounds of anything actuating. Is the switch easy to swap out without dismantling everything? Top part of the tailgate works all fine. The lower part I’m having to open by manually releasing each side
