Ukraine 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Java BlackDiscovery 3

Went over the 'Mam last weekend and a group of 8 of us plucked our turkeys that had got to a good size roaming a friends orchard.
Thankfully I had one of the bronzes, rather than the blacks that are a bit of a nightmare to pluck.
Only 4.5kg when dressed (loosing body parts, not gaining clothes!) but at least it'll come out the oven the same size it went in, unlike the commercial birds.

That'll be the bird for Xmas day, but unfortunately we'll have to resort to shop turkeys for the 28th as we'll possibly have 18 round the table...talking of Sally Army!
Most of the meat will be our own pork, although depends if any venison finds its way to our kitchen. Smile

Re turkeys for the 28th, I’ll have a nose up at the local Co-op to see if they have stupidly discounted birds mid afternoon Christmas-eve. Daft thing is if they do then we’ll freeze the fresh birds (subject to freezer capacity) and scoff the then thawed frozen bird on Monday. Well Monday and the next week. Thumbs Up
