Steering feels notchy!

Steering feels notchy!

Hi! Disco 3 TDV6. My steering feels a bit notchy and the steeringwheel slowly returns to centre! although its steering well and no play at all??

Any ideas?? cheers!

United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

Try lubricating the universal joint on the Lower Steering Column.

However if it is notchy then the Lower Steering Column (LR071146 RHD and LR071147 LHD) may need to be replaced
