| call saying 2 suspicious payments to Amazon on Visa card |

Received a telephone call this morning from 01282717226 to say 2 suspicious payments of £300 and £1100 had appeared on my visa card and to press 1 if I hadn't made these purchases. Sounded suspicious to me as they hadn't even introduced themselves or named the owner of the visa card, I also would have expected a different telephone number if it was genuine, so put the phone down.
Rang my bank, advised them of the call, they told me that these amounts were not on my credit card and thanked me for being vigilant.

The 'who called me' website shows it as reported 13 times using words scam, payment, amazon, visa and bank and that number has an overall 'negative' rating 'primarily associated with a payment scam activity' seemingly impersonating amazon
