Went on my LRE level 1 yesterday and had good chat with the instructors.
They were VERY impressed with the disco3 site and its contents for several reasons:
there's apparently plenty on here that they weren't aware of, such as waiting for the bong before ignition
the information on recalls, issues and documented evidence which can be presented to LR to press for action
information on practical issues which they are not allowed to discuss with their customers (eg off-road tyres - the Coopers are not sufficiently speed
rated for the RRS so cannot be officially recommended; the seatbelt 'bong' removal technique)
Apparently they have been experiencing compressor failures with the recent batch of vehicles, having had no probs with the launch ones (they smiled when I told them of my compressor failure and knew of the delays in getting replacement compressors over the summer)
They weren't aware of the RRS sister site - although they are now! Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles

Good to hear there's appreciation from some areas

The 245/70R17 STTs have a 119 Load Index which is higher than LR minimum but are only Q (160Kph/99.4Mph) rated which isn't a problem on D3 or RRS unless you intend on going that fast with them on, if you do I suspect the noise would get to you before anything else The End

That's fine but there are laws designed to protect the terminally stupid who could try and cane a v8 with the Coopers on.
I don't know how fast a v8 or SC goes, but must be a fair amount faster than the tdv6 d3@115mph. You could then theoretically exceed the max rating of the Coopers by a huge margin! Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
