Oillevel sensor retrofit replacement
Hello all,
Surely somebody by now has made a simple retrofit oil level sensor that just goes in the existing electrical connection hole in the sump. Spending a weekend removing front axle and sump just because land rover designers have no regard for future maintenance is ridiculous. Not to mention the waste of oil etc.
Something like britpart have done for the gearbox filter replacement???
I plan to buy a new sensor and see if there is any way of producing something with all electrical connections outside the oil in the sump. It was inevitable the unit would fail one day but why hide it in the bottom of the sump?? To be expected from modern car designers I suppose!
