Glad to see it is settling in well.
Would have been great if they could have put a volume know in the spare circular blank on the left.
Forgive me for saying it, but there is a hint of Landcruiser from it - not necessarily a bad thing but would have preferred to keep the normal AC controls - is there an option for just the large upper screen without the touchscreen lower level?
I will get around to fitting some sort of volume on/off switch in the left hand blank.
There is no option for this system without the climate screen which is well thought out and easy to operate because of its size.

Everything you had before is removed and replaced with the new arrangement. The touch screen, front panel audio, climate control and dvd player and ash tray are all replaced. You won’t have original radio fm or dab.
The new screen has an advanced fm radio tuner chip but not dab + which I have added with a usb dongle and a free app from play store.
The new screen position is very similar to the later Range Rover and comfortable for viewing.
Not all the original 4x4 features are retained but most are, some in a different format on the top screen and some in the original format on the climate screen. I am still finding out what’s what.

This looks very tempting especially as the car I'm looking at has a faulty stereo. The stereo is the base unit one by the looks of it, would I need any upgrades to get this working?

These kits come with everything needed to install in most cases, there are two different harnesses and adapters for different years.

Cheers Andy, I have to say I'm inclined to go for this over the Tesla style setup, it may have to go on the Xmas list or something though, got a few other bits I need to buy first! Thanks for the review BTW.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Have now upgraded my car to a 2014 and am in the process of looking at CarPlay kits again.
How are you getting along with this unit?
Any niggles cropped up?
Do you still have access to timed climate controls?
Cheers and Happy New Year!

Love to have a system like this installed in mine but I’m thinking my cars to old.
2010 SE D4 the old non touch screen version.
But that looks nice.
Why wait, just go for it and enjoy life.

No niggles,it’s fast and smooth, when you start up it defaults to the last used application,CarPlay loads automatically when it detects your device and runs in the background until you open it.
You won’t retain timed climate with this unit but I already had Altox so I use that. I loaded a new operating system called Agama, there is plenty choice.

I cant see where the non touchscreen should be at problem, everything is replaced and just plugged into the remaining harness. The supplier would be able to confirm that.
