I am aware of the current posts regarding the webasto heater, but in SIMPLE terms what does it actually do and when does it kick in, not a thing mentioned in handbook?
Sorry to be a pain! But i am use to a Defender 110!!!

Simply a backup heater when the temperature drops below 4C to enhance the cars warm up time and boost the car main heater as and when it is needed. Thats it.

Thank you BN, I also read that the heater uses fuel hence explaining not so great fuel consumption, getting about 22-23mpg all town driving at the moment

I prefer Devon any day. Yes the FBH is a bit heavy on the pocket at this time of year, especially in traffic when it will go made.
