That roundabout you were coming off is slightly unusual in that there is a very sharp left turn and then a long drag uphill so that may have just upset something that hadn't been treated that way before !
Lovely looking motor by the way and I'd hope to see you up my way for a meet (whenever we can arrange one).
I'd save the italian tune-up for after it's been in to Mike and had the cambelts and oil pump changed (maybe not needed on a 55 plate but worth doing for piece of mind).
Looking forward to the build updates... and I was right about the sunroof drains I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

I’ve never liked that roundabout headed northbound, it must have been a Friday afternoon design!
Haha, yes, I don’t dare do anything silly at this stage, I’m really looking forward to the visit with Mike. And you were right about those drains… should have just bought yours and saved myself the hassle!
Yes, let’s meet. I may come camp headed with the family your way this summer.
My IID tool arrived today, I went outside to find pages of codes, wiped everything, went for a decent run and was left with the below, I understand 2 of them are to be ignored, the other however… maybe EGR blanking should be my first modification?
There was also this gorgeous Range Rover classic as I was turning back, I couldn’t not grab a shot.

20 years of driving and I had never heard that term! I had to Google it. You’re maybe right…. I’d fear for the crank though!
Dont give it a 2nd thought, change oil at 6k intervals and you'll be fine.
I drive mine like i stole it most of the time and 220k klms later still runs perfectly.

That’s refreshing to hear.
Anyone know where this lives? It appeared after my 2 year old was climbing all over the car.

The wife said to me “are you going to change the orange, it looks very 1980s?”
The tango hadn’t bothered me but I guess it’s now going. I think I’ll order the Powerful headlight kit and get the oven warmed up. Reckon I’ll supplement it with a set of D4.5 rears C/W resistors and some clear side repeaters. First mods inbound.2005 Discovery 3 HSE Zambezi Silver 56,000mls

Hi,
agree with Moo I now think original looks cleaner
not biased in any way
and in a few years time everyone is going to be looking for those Original lights that peeps chucked away going back to the Original look as Originality Adds £££ look at series L/R's now

Fellas, you’re preaching to the choir but SHSBO has spoken, she hates the orange. I’ll be sure to keep the original tango lens in order to revert to standard in the future if required. Happy wife and all that.
In other news, I was ready for my second tank of fuel today 470 to 500 miles seems reasonable, of course 370 of those miles were uphill on a motorway.
I also began checking the carpets again, the drivers side is dry, the passenger however is completely soaked, I must get to clearing the drains, as I understand it the passenger side is the complicated side?
In process of checking the carpets the drivers side rear passenger door refused to open from either side, upon searching the issue I was lucky enough to get away with pulling the door lock whilst pressing the unlock on the dash, not sure how long that actuator will survive. Does anyone have any preventative maintenance tips for those, can a spray lube of sorts be blasted inside a door cavity near the lock or something?2005 Discovery 3 HSE Zambezi Silver 56,000mls

I christened the D3 last night by installing and using the towbar for the very first time in it’s 18 years and collected a new to me ride on mower, it’s that time of year again. I stopped for a quick photo on the top of the Cairn O Mount.
