[For Sale] Discovery 3 V8 in Bonatti 160,000 miles £2,500
Hi, refreshing the below advert, now purchased a Q7 so no longer need the Disco
Car is all below, it has developed a knocking sound, sounds like something on the aux belt but cannot confirm as bonnet cable has snapped so can no longer open the bonnet.
Priced to sell at £2,500.
On plate FE05 CWR. MOT until Jan 2024.
I have owned this car for the past 7 years. The car has the factory Rosen DVD player as well as all other HSE refinements. Other bits I have added during my ownership:
- Genuine RRS 21" wheels, all with 6-7mm of tread on Pirelli Scorpion tyre
- Bluetooth phone kit (fit by Flack)
- Clock on dash (coded by Flack)
- Xenon front lights
- Narpy Grill
- Professional colour coded arches
- Uncle Ray spare wheel protector
- Center resonator delete (it sounds like a v8!!)
I have gone through most common issues in my ownership, the following has been replaced:
- Lower arms at 144k
- Front / rear / transfer box fluid change 126k
- Hunter 4 wheel alignment - 142k
- Full set of new spark plugs 136k
- Gearbox refurb, new torque converter, 6 new accumulators, new stator bush, removable filter and oil change at 130k
- Steering wheel replaced so not warn
- Drivers seat refurbed and new LR heated seat
- New front airbags - 137k
- New air reservoir - 155k
- New air compressor - 155k
- New front, centre, and rear valve block
- All 4 door motors replaced
- Sunroof drains (both side front)
- New alternator - 155k
- New throttle peddle
- New aircon condenser
- Rear aircon pipe delete
- New T-pipe
- New oil cooler
- New tank cradle
- Recent new brake light switch
There is probably a lot more I have forgotten, I have receipts for all work done by my Indie, and the gearbox was done by Prestontransmissions.
The car can be left for a week, it does not drop at all.
Car has also been serviced every year, despite me only driving around 4k miles per year.

In order for me to be able to justify it in my head at least, what sort of milage do you get? Do you have pics of the interior?

I will put up some more pictures tonight.

Hi
Is it just the rear that needs welding or the full length. Would you have a photo of the areas.
Had to have rear body mounts and outer sills welded on mine last year.

I slept on this last night and have come to my senses, i will not mess you about, i am now out.
I was a keen buyer at £3500 and would have taken it on as a project. At £6500 it no longer makes sense to me, i will keep my diesel and will do the jobs on that i have been putting off for months since this whole ulez come about. When i have to use the disco i will simply pay Mr Khan his 15 quid, it is about the cost of a packet of fags anyway.
So @pwheeldon this is all yours, never meant to step on any toes.
I am also glad that this thread has showed respect to the "dibbs" as used very successfully in most other for sale threads.
I will attempt to attach the pics of the work done that you could not get to load on the forum @plocker
