Defender Steels - What're my size options..
Hi All,
Grabbed a set of five Defender Steels and look forward to getting them on the car.
I'm going for an all terrain set, how flexable can I be on size options! I'm looking to grab a deal on part worns.
They're 18" rims, and the car is currently 255 / 60 / 18
Ovbiously the 18 is what is it!
I can correct any profile change with the IID Tool
There seems to be a good market for 255/55/18's, and 265/60/18's, thoughts on that size?
Opinions all welcome!!

I tried the new Defender rim on the Discovery 4, 2013, with 255/70/18 tyres, but it didn't work. Tyre is in contact with the wheel housing at the front at full steering. Some people cut this part out with the anglegrinder, not my intention
I have now ordered 255/60/18, should work, but no BFG AT available, found a General Grabber AT

Just check weight ratings as well, as 255/55’s tend to be 108, so not high enough for your Disco.

I wasn't changing wheels but have just had the same dilemma with tyres, ie wanting something like an AT but not wanting anything bigger mainly as if it drops to its bump stops for any reason I wanted to be able to move still, not to mention insurance and fuel economy etc.
I went with a set of Michelin Latitude Cross 255/60R18 112V. Seem very mannered on the road, they look like they'll do what I need them to, I don't have any plans to do anything that needs anything more extreme.

I hope I've read the numbers correctly and they're OK!!
It's compressed the image so much the writing can't be read, it says 119/116S
