Looking for 18" alloy wheels for my D4 |
|
Hi guys,
I'm planning to fit BFG All Terrain tyres on my D4 (260 or 265/60x18), so I need to find 18" alloy wheels for that.
I found a good dealer on eBay, but unfortunately he's based in UK and I' live in Ireland. So I don't want to pay import/custom fees without knowing the cost before to buy (the seller can only indicate me the purchase price ex VAT).
Does anybody knows a good seller in Ireland or any other EU country ?
Any advice welcome about any 18" rims fitting on the D4 (without spacers and if possible without replacing nuts).
Thanks a lot.

Regarding rims - I think Compomotive PD1881 and EVO Corse DakarZero 8.5x18" are the generally accepted alternatives that will fit without having to do anything special.

Big country Ireland but maybe there's a solution involving another member?

Hi kajtzu,
Very good advice, thanks.
Regarding the tyres, your seller seems to be a good price for the 3PMSF certified type !
For the rims, Evo Corso are the model I was looking for, but I'd like to find an EU seller because buying from UK is a scary lottery about the import/custom/tax fees.
After that, if I buy tyres and rims on the net, I'll had to find someone to fit and balance...

As for fitting - at least here I can bring rims and tires to pretty much any tire store and they’ll fit and balance them for some decent amount of money, 20-40 eur/tire. I’ve never been in Ireland but it can’t be that much different, can it?

I've subscribe to be informed of a future availability, but no reaction...

Great news !
I've finally found a set of 4 Compomotive PD1881 for a very proper price (around 1600 €) on voguexpedition.com. Also ordered the tyres at Eiretyres.com.
Thanks a lot for your precious help !

Eiretyres just informed me that they can't send my (whole) order.
On their website, they said "available", but they've no stock... or perhaps only one of each
To be continued.
