Another EGR - Sorry
Hi all,
Had the dreaded EML come on again with circuit B fault. Last time I cleaned and refitted and lasted 6 months. Just cleaned again but this time not fixed.
My question is if I blank, is it drivable without remap?
Can’t afford it this month But only do on average 100 miles a month anyway as have company van.
What o5her options do I have?
I have an Autel but not IID unfortunately.
Thanks for any help given. I’ll return in beer if we ever meet.

Hi Jongo, car will be perfectly drivable after you blank them and pull the butterfly valve, you’ll just get the warning light on the dash that there’s an EGR fault.
It’s not a remap you need but it will need an IID to tell the ecu to ignore the egr going forward.2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Thanks @kevinD3.
So just blank and remove butterfly for now?
It won’t be sluggish like it currently is?
Leave egrs plugged in?
Sorry for all the questions

IId doesn't fix the EML without buying a patch. Leaving the EML on is an MOT fail.Richard

I used these guys to do mine a while ago, good reputation, clean, professional garage, they specialise in the electronics side, give them a call and check the current prices to give you an idea.

Jong0211, I can do the physical blanking and/ or apply a BAS patch to your ECU for you
I’m heading down to Cornwall on Friday to visit a few customers over the weekend, so may be able to squeeze you in on the way down.
Drop me a PM if that’s an option for you
