Will have a mooch (we’ll Google search) re that establishment. Thumbs Up

Few pics from the day, usual freebie tourist haunts when it was snowing. Now glad to be back in the hotel for a cup of coffee & tea. The temp numbers are the same as in UK but that wind makes all the difference.

We were going to stop off at the World Trade Centre site but we were getting colder and colder, and unfortunately the buses don’t have heated seats. Sad

Re running in Central Park, fair few peeps doing that yesterday, but we resisted the urge to join them when we were having coffee/tea & cake in the Met cafe.

And Greta grumpy-faced what’s her name would be proud in her own miserable way as until we get to the west coast we’re travelling by bus, subway and trains. Planet saved. Thumbs Up

A few pics from today as now settled down with a glass of VC.

Bus down to City Hall then walk to Ground Zero.

Didn’t go in the museum but went in the World Trade Centre mall for a warm up in the form of coffee. It was about -7c with wind chill and the bus down had a distinct lack of heating!

Then a hike over the Brooklyn Bridge. Unfortunately this NYPD Bear in the Air stopped circling the bridge just as we hit there, or is that fortunately. Confused

Great view of lower Manhattan from the bridge. Yes, it was sunny but it didn’t feel like it was bringing much to the party, until we went into a bit of shade.

Our first Subway ride. Much warmer than the bus!

And then to the Museum of Modern Art, first one was entitled “We’re in the Monet!”

Then lunch!! Then back down the other end of Manhattan to this deli. Yes, that’s the queue line but that was when we left, luckily no queue line when we arrived.

Worth the wait and scrum for pastrami and brisket sarnies, on rye of course. Yes that’s a lot of food, yes we’re on a diet, but you can’t come to NYC and not try them, it’s against at least 7 laws!!

Now in the hotel lounge surrounded by food and not at all tempted. After all, my body is a temple. Whistle
