New alternator - Good charging - now battery light coming on

Hi
Hopefully this is an easy question.
We have a D3 4.0 V6 which stopped the other day when my son was coming home from Christmas shopping.
Yesterday we replaced old units with a new Denso alternator, belt, pulley, and tensioner.
Battery tested at shop and found to be ok. Consistently held 12.7v and 807cca while waiting for alternator to come.
Car starts perfectly and sounds better than it has in some time, but the battery warning light will not go out.
Multimeter shows 14.05v at the battery while running.
Everything seems okay, but I don’t want to cook anything by ignoring the warning light.
I’m thinking it’s a fuse but wouldn’t that stop the car from running or starting?
Tomorrow I’ll be checking fuses and if we’ve messed up any wiring.
Thanks for your help.

Stu

It does take a few minutes for the light to go out.

There is a 5A small ALT fuse in the box next to the battery
