Bottle jack recommendations for D3 👍

Ok so just checked over the scissor jack in the side panel. Tools and wheel stops all good but previous owner butchered the jack so that’s in the bin. Want to replace with a bottle jack. I have a trolley jack for home maintenance but heading up to Scotland at Christmas so need bottle jack for emergency use. Recommendations please and what max height should it be to get a wheel off the ground. Thanks.

The go to on here seems to be a Mercedes Sprinter bottle jack, although there was a guy selling original LR ones on Facebook a while back from Crosshouse in Ayrshire, I collected a couple for people when I was passing…

Do you know that on the original red LR one (ANR4489), the bottle is made of plastic ? Very easy to break in some situations (if lean on a hard part).
On mine, I rebuilt the bottle in aluminium. Thumbs Up

Thought mine was metal.

You also need the 2 part handle to jack it

I’ve got the Hilka 5 tonne bottle Jack in the car, good price, way more lifting power than is needed to change a tyre.

Hilka from Screwfix.

3 tonne is ample.

Make an adapter for pennies.
