HAS ANY BODY ENCOUNTERED A SLIGHT LEAK FROM THE NUT ON THE TOP OF THE FUEL INJECTOR ON A DISCO 3 - ITS NOT FROM THE SPILL OFF PIPE -BUT WHEN ITS BEEN CLEANED UP, IT SLOWLY SEEPS A SMALL AMOUNT OF DIESEL AT THIS POINT ( in and around the nut )EVENTUALLY ENDING UP WITH THE DEISEL LAYING IN THE PLASTIC TRAY BELLOW. Can this be tightened here ? or is it time to replace the injector ? Am I right in thinking on a disco 3 it can just be fitted without further diagnostics sinking the injector in. Any help /guidance would gratefully received. trevor weldon

LR say the pipes need replacing if they are removed, i would try tightening it up a bit more and if that doesnt work replace the pipe.
There is no coding required on a D3 Andrew

Thanks for that - but maybe I should have made it clear it is not where the injection pipe from the fuel bar meets the injector- it is leaking from the nut on the injector body below the electrical plug. Any ideas?

Rehashing this as have the same. Has anyone actually undone and resealed the thread. Easy to say replace injector but that is a huge expense for a small leak on the thread, but also aware consequences of a fire are worse. Has anyone actually either tightened this up or undone and re-sealed?
Cheers
