Altox FBH control

I run my FBH through an Altox app on my phone. I've used this for around five years without issue. I thought that I should give the heater a test run before the cold weather comes. The heater was serviced in March so I didn't expect an issue. Outside temp was 4 degrees. Called it up and the heater fired up but then died. Used the easy start up the intake trick. Fired up ran for a couple of minutes then stopped again. I'm thinking low fuel flow. Is there a way to purge or bleed the system?

NEVER purge the system! There is no such thing as low fuel flow! It is diesel, NOT gasoline..

Low fuel level is possible, the. The disco will prevent to start the FBH, as a precaution…
Of testing, fuel tank half full!

The dosing pump does work or does not, in case it does not work, the heater does detect that and fails to start heating….

More common are spider webs, spider nests and other obstructions. Mostly in the exhaust, some times in the inlet….
 Best regards
Harold
