How to deflate strut ?

I'm wanting to change my lower rear suspension arm. When I did the other side I had a real problem lining up the holes for the strut mount. What's the best way to deflate the strut, is it just a matter of removing the hose from the top. Is it possible to release pressure anywhere else, with my hands I struggle to get to this Crying or Very sad

Thank you.

easier is to lower vehicle to access mode than pull the fuse so you'll have less air in it
and than work on arms?

If you've got a IId or similar you can deflate the system.

If you decide to deflate the strut by removing the top Voss connector then from experience I found the easiest way was to loosen the connector with a "normal" size 12mm and then cut an old 12mm spanner down to around 3" or so.

You can then get in reasonably easily and I've got hands like Homer Simpson....

But remember to loosen it slowly and let the air out slowly.

As above, but it's very much easier to release the air from the valve block mounted on the NSR wheelarch, you can lift it out of the 'keyhole' mountings to get it in a better position to work on.

Thanks. This worked for me today. Still a bit awkward to line up, but made doable Thumbs Up
