Brake reservoir advice disco 3
Hi all
I have a curly hose from the bottom right side of the brake reservoir that goes into the bulkhead behind the dash. All the pics I have seen this connection is crimped off and no hose . Any idea what this hose does and where it goes?
Thanks
Glen

Is it the clutch master cylinder supply you're looking at? The reservoir is shared.Richard

You have been looking at pics of Auto vehicles, which have that connection crimped off. As Richard says above, it will be a hose supplying the clutch master cylinder on a manual vehicle.D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.

Great, thanks for the info.
I had to disconnect this connection on the reservoir to fit a new brake servo.
When I reconnect it, is there any additional work? do I have to bleed the clutch, or as its upstream, will any air in the line migrate by gravity back to the master reservoir?
Thanks
Glen

I would expect that some air will have got in, and the clutch circuit will almost certainly need bleeding I’m afraid. I can report that if you remove this clutch hose that you don’t need to bleed it
Best wishes. Glen
