Hi PeteK, it sat a couple of days without a battery and has had GAP reset and the usual battery connector hard reset so I don’t think any further reset will help. Thank you for the input though, you seem to pop up on most/all of my posts
Hi DM, there’s good voltage on both sides of every expected fuse in the CJB and BJB with ignition on.
I’ve seen that picture and have learnt to read the full wiring diagram, some faults are c585 related and the door ajar messages come via C586, both of which are seated fine, pins are fine on both CJB and connectors.
My conclusion is that there’s some component(s) on the board within the CJB that I’ve fried with my live disconnect.
Last thing I’m going to physically test is to access some of the modules that aren’t functioning and see if they have power. Memory seat connector is easily accessible beneath the drivers seat (from memory) and I’ll have a hunt about and see if I can find any others between (yet more) rain showers and coughing fits.
Thanks DM I’ll not torch it just yet…D3 HSE - MY05 - Java black

I’m getting very adept with mirrors, endoscopes and getting my phone camera into awkward holes…
Just looked back at the photo I took of the last reinstall (attached) and I’m actually not unconvinced c586 is locked in, despite no red mark showing. It felt positive and square as it went in and to feel about afterwards but I’ll recheck that too. Just an unlock, check it’s lined up and re lock. I’m 95% it’s in fine, I don’t think it would lock and look fully in if it was sticking out at the top end.

After a few days off from fettling, yesterday I fettled. Once again checked every connector and pins on the CJB, all in fine order and all fully seated and locked.
Now I’m nearly sure I need a replacement CJB. Question is whether it’s something programmable with the GAP tool, and I take a £50 punt from salvage, or whether it’s best outsourced to Turners and their copy/paste CJB service, or alternatively a forum member who can offer a similar service.
I’ve got a host of additional batteries, or a second car, to act as a power supply during any attempted re-flash procedure.
Still accepting of any further things to try before I do any of the above though!
Cheers

If you haven’t done so yet I would still say to remove the battery, take out the CJB and refit it.
At worst case you have had a it more practice before the replacement of the unitMust stop buying shiny toys....

I thought they showed the very red marking on the housing if they weren’t seated?
I’ll poke it again in a wee bit, but fairly sure it’s not going any further in. Wouldn’t push further without the lock coming round, locked in solid and square, and not pulling out etc. If it is that, I’ll find my dunce cap…
Also here’s yesterday mornings photo check, same faults.
And also yesterdays missed attempt with red showing

No need DM.
It was indeed, not fully home. Now it’s is!
And it’s (as) fully functional (as it was before) once again!
