Headlight/break light bulb and suspension fault codes

Hi,

Has anyone else had a suspension fault code showing on the driver display screen temporarily, but the suspension all working fine, then to find that a headlight or break/sidelight bulb has blown?

It can happen also if the BLS is faulty or starting to show symptoms.

I was thinking that - so I’ve got a new BLS stashed in the boot in case I need to change it!

Is there anything else that could cause the same thing?

Its quite common that poor quality or badly fitting brake light bulbs can cause all sorts of issues . Thumbs Up

I had all sorts of problems with the LED bulbs the previous owner had fitted and tried to run! Rolling Eyes

I usually use Ring automotive bulbs, will the D3 be ok with these?

Ideally you should use halogens if you have the original D3 rear lights. Whistle

If you want leds, get the D4 rears. You will need to add resistors unless already fitted.

These are the ones I usually use for stop/tail light bulbs - should I use something different for the D3?

For the headlights I’ve gone for the Bosch ones (below)
