Operation Failed E 7 ?

Hi everybody !
I've tried to test my FBH on the Discovery 4 that I've purchased 6 months ago (2011 - 187 000 Km).
Unfortunately, the IIDtool simply returns "Operation Failed E 7"...
If I refer to the Webasto codes list, that could mean "Heating Unit Interlocked", without anymore explication. I'm surprised that the thing that can deliver so many error codes about very specific faults could send a so iaccurate message !
I've already read all the literature about this fault code, tried the "fuse 28 method", but nothing changes.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Hi ! Sorry for the late answer, but I'm not totally sure that the FBH is now really normally working.
The first problem I had was too much fuel priming that had drowned the burner. After several forced activations (and a lot of smoke !), the burner started to make more and more heat from day to day.
Now, I can proceed the FBH activation without error message but I can't repeat immediately without having error E 7 ( I've seen that the blower and the water pump are still running for a moment after the burner stops). Now, I can run the FBH once a day for a test without excessive smoke neither fuel leaking from the exhaust pipe, but I think I will have to disassemble it for a deep cleaning...

On a D3 I think it means you need the climate panel on (of is it off) in the cabin

It's a D4 and I have activated the "Timed climate" menu on touchscreen.

You need to get the cable from the boards shop and download the Webasto software, that will tell you more and you can use the oxygen slider from the menu to increase the rpm to try and burn off any crud.I have used this meathod a few times and its worked.

Or get it running then use brake cleaner and spray it in to the intake in short burst while its running.

Flack Thumbs Up
