Transmission Fault / Park Brake Fault
Hi guys,
I recently changed the battery in my Discovery 3, and I'm now getting intermittent faults popping up with 'Transmission Fault' causing the gear indicator showing E and then the Park Brake Fault light comes on. The car still drives perfectly fine, if only a slight rough idle.
I took it to a local electrical garage and he said he's unable to clear the codes and he has said that the gearbox needs to be dropped down to access the selector module, but he hasn't got the time. Before i take it elsewhere - is this the only cause of action? Has anyone else had experience with these faults or similar?
Thanks in advance

Those faults are also triggered by a slipping clutch. You might have to calibrate the X/Y sensor to clear the current faults.
have a search for XY calibration.Richard

I’m having this exact problem! Only when I put it in to 6th gear. The fault comes up. And can’t recalibrate the xy sensor because when it goes it to 6th gear it triggers the fault
Did you find a solution?Disco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7
