Flickering LED in door card mood lighting

D4 2011 HSE: One of the 3 mood lighting LEDs in my NSF door card has been flickering. It's not the wiring, it's the bulb unit itself. Bulb casing's off in the photo. Anyone recognise the bulb unit as a spare, or am I looking for a whole loom (LR096463)?

Can't comment to the LR specifics, but as a circuit it's extremely simple.

Can you hook it up to a 12v power supply and seeing if the flickering occurs?

If it does, it's almost certainly just the LED that needs replacing. Should be a very easy 5 minute job with a replacement LED.

Thanks, yes, applied 12v direct to these solder terminals: The other 2 lamps on the harness illuminated steady (so not a harness issue), while this unit still flickered.

Thanks again for advice

OK, cool. You probably just need to find someone with a soldering iron and replace the LED. If you’ve got one already then I’d recommend just heating up the solder on the pads around the circuit, it could just be a connection coming loose.

Another thing to try is cleaning the entire thing with a toothbrush or similar and isopropyl alcohol. Be amazed how often that can fix things.

If you can measure the led (guessing 4mmX4mm) I can have a stab at finding you a replacement - should be only about a quid.
