Don’t laugh!
Looking to get a prospeed rack for my D3. Before I go mad and consider ordering a shiny new one,and wait an eternity for it to arrive, just checking if anyone has one laying about and might just consider selling it to a good home
Can work out logistics from any UK destination back to Brum address, so not worried about that bit of it A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Yeah prospeed don’t currently sell one; they stopped selling the old one a fair few months ago and were meant to release the new version in June/July but as expected it didn’t happen. You can go on a waiting list for the new one but no idea when that will realistically materialise into anything.
Few people seem to have got onto this and the second hand price of them has gone up a fair bit now with people charging nearly new price for well used second hand items.

Thanks for that ….. already on their waiting list.
I’ll keep giving them a nudge every month or so. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I asked them for an update on the new one a week or so ago when I got some rocksliders but they weren’t very helpful. It’s been delayed by “a couple of months” was all they would say, Being realistic I am not expecting to see anything this year

I have one that's less that 12months old, I also have the roof top tent bars and a pair of brackets for a side awing. It's all immaculate. I was planning on a NC500 trip and getting kitted out but unfortunately due to the MIL health, these plans are shelved for the foreseeable.
I would need to get a set of full length black rails back on the roof and set of bars for general use but if anybody is desperate I would part with mine.

might be worth scouring the D3 and D4 forum on FB. As noted above, someone was asking about 'this rack' that they were looking for a value on it and to sell it on

i dont know but i know they aren't cheap!
Somne feedback as a prospeed componant owner - their design and build quality is the best but their powdercoating is a pile of dog 5h13 - HD cills after 1 year without as much of a rub on a rock or tree stump are all flaking and bubbling so am going to take them off and get them galvanized and then raptor painted. their roof racks from what i have seen sound like they do the same!

Thanks for the link
That new rack design tale has been doing the rounds for a while. Wondering how they can improve the design … apart from the paint Maybe weight reduction??
Not desperate for one but you know how it goes when you get an idea in your head and you have yourself convinced it’s a great idea 😬
Hopefully have ladder sorted. Have to keep going now! A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
