From the advert “This hitch is designed for recovery only”. Which makes it completely pointless, just use the factory rear recovery point for recovery.MY14 TDV6

I totally disagree.
I need a flange point for a luggage rack on the back. Using the landrover ring recovery point is totally useless answer as that's not how it mounts. sorry.
So has anybody tried one of these mounts? I notice there are at least 2 different designs sold in the UK.
Alternatively a 2 inch receiver would work. (genuine UK made, and sold in US)
It ideally needs 4 holes.
Standard witter tow bars arnt that good either as they are too low to the ground and the back of the rack can ground out with the overhang.
Its kind of an industrial thule or back rack system.
Best wishes
Glen

Have a look at Tow Trust TL1. Many threads on here about tow bars. I can't link old threads from my phone.Richard

I have one on the rear of my D4.
My friend who lives in South Africa brought it over for me. They know the manufacturers there.
I have used it for towing with, but just liked the appearance of it!
Currently has a Dixon bates slider bolted to it and is perfect bumper protection.
The insert in the recovery eye for bolting the top was a very snug fit on mine. It’s in there, doubt it will remove in a hurry!
Robust and good bit of kit.
Let down by the paint, which is not really that good. Mine needs taking off and thorough cleaning and repainting. Discovery commercial tdv6 auto 2013

Great, that was what I was looking for. it looks substantial, and I want to put the short dixon bate slider to it for my luggage system. Thats how I had my westfalia set up on my L322 RR
Have you got a photo or 2 of it fitted?
Best wishes
