Sorry peops another alarm question.
Hi All,
The alarm triggers when double locked
There's no warning of open doors, bonnet/hood or tailgate.
I replaced the fob outer casing a month or two ago, due to the old one being fingered to death
If I just lock once, the alarm doesn't randomly trigger itself. But if I lock and then dead lock Lipstick the alarm will go off, maybe 5 mins sometimes even makes it 20 mins, but it will go off.
Really great late when it goes off on the caravan park, its done it ever since I bought it, and I just cant work it out.
2006 D3 aka Lipstick (bad purchase) my daily.
2012 D4 aka Fiji (wife named it) only drive to the garage/mot station.
2003 L200 aka Miss Piggy, faded blotchy red pink, currently sat in naughty corner in disgrace due to a knocking bottom end (It was the cheapest 4x4 when i bought it)

Isn't single-click double-lock on the D3 ? Or have you done the ccf edit?.

eh, what's a CCF edit please
I've always had vehicles that have required a double lock for deadlocking.
Even then, why/how would this trigger the alarm? Or is this just another quirk of the Lipstick clad pig I bought
BTW, Hardware, on your siggy it say's D4 XS OBD port protection, is that an anti theft device, to prevent a 3rd vanishing, sorry to be nosy, but it is a concern of mine having a 06 D3 and a 11 D4.2006 D3 aka Lipstick (bad purchase) my daily.

As standard, IIRC, D3 is 1 click locked and ultrasonic alarm enabled. Click again and ultrasonics turn off ... so you can leave kids, dogs whatever in the car.
You can swap the behaviour... making same as standard D4 ... using a suitable tool, GAP or otherwise.
To get near my OBD port, an angle grinder would speed it up. And maybe that's not the real port when you get to it???.
