Auxillary Reversing Lights

Hi
I've seen many post about changing reversing lights bulbs for led's which I've done.

Has anyone one added auxiliary reversing light and where have you mounted them?

Thanks

I’ve mounted a couple Smile

One is selective, I’ve wired the working light on the rear ladder to a switch in the front so I can switch it on remotely to help reversing

I’ve also swapped the rear reflectors out for lights, I chose brake / fog but you can get them in clear to wire as revering

Not really, it runs off my auxiliary battery so the fuse box for that is in the back, I just ran a 2 core to the front under the frame and I took the centre console.

I fitted 2 on the back of my roof rack and wired them so they could automatically come on with the reverse lights, be seperately switched manually for a work light, or switched off completely. They were really handy but I swapped my roof rack and didn't get round to refitting, I've now bought another D3, so I'll be wiring everything in the new one! As above I had them connected to an Aux battery so I didn't have to worry about draining the crank battery.

I had them on a disco 2 top of the rear quarters.
I would like them high up but don't really want to mount them on the roof.
I had 2 at tow bar level on a Freelander 2 with a seperate ignition live switch.
I would like to mount them high but don't really see and option below roof level.

If you want them high but not on the roof have a look at Jacks post

He used a couple of bonnet clamps to attach the lights to the boot lid, looks good and the wiring stay inside

Thanks. That’s what I had in mind but couldn’t figure out how to mount the lights.

Reversing lights mounted

Finally got around to putting lights I had from my Freelander onto the Disco.

Used mounting brackets recommended here and after many house got wired with single switch.
