EPB not holding vehicle on hills

I have looked for the answer through the posts but can't find this one. My EPB is not holding the vehicle on a hill.
Following an issue screaming, I had to pull the emergency release. I have changed the gears in the EPB and one of the cables. Also, new shoes inside recently replaced disks. I have followed the 'bible' on adjusting the brake shoes (both adjustment points).

Handbrake comes on and goes off fine (I have manual transmission) but I noticed not holding on hills, rolling backwards.

Do I readjust the shoes or am I missing some other process?

It sounds to me ( being no expert whatsoever) that they are not adjusted correctly.
I went through the adjustment process a while back but it turned out for me, that it made no difference as one of the shoes was seized and therefore shortly afterwards destroyed the actuator.
I thought I’d sorted it and it then ended up costing me £1500 all in!
Worth getting it checked.

Did you follow the bed in process - this helps balance everything out.

Thumbs Up Do bedding in process again and re-adjust them not forgetting the centralising screw, they have possibly bedded themselves in and just need readjusting.
Are you sure they have not been contaminated with oil or grease while being fitted?
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thank you for the feedback, I did think about readjusting considering they have had some usage to bed in properly. I'll give this a try on Saturday

I've re-adjusted and tried bedding in procedure but it's just not enough to hold the vehicle still. I'll have to take a disc off but i'm certain that they are not contaminated
