Cruise Control Retrofit MY10

Hi all,

I have a 2010 TDV6 GS with no cruise control and it’s bugging me not having it so I purchased this steering wheel from the bay.

STEERING WHEEL LAND ROVER DISCOVERY MK4 (L319) 2009 TO 2016 SDV6 HSE - 11920720

Any advise or tips to get this working.

Thanks.

Ummmmm I think I’ve purchased the wrong wheel, Censored in hell.

Reading posts my LR4 GS is the 2010 year and no paddles but the one I purchased from the bay said it fits the 2010 year?

Also reading posts others have said that the white horn symbol does not work with like mine that’s black in colour.

I’ve turned on the options via IIDTool so have I purchased the wrong wheel?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165339113056

Could I swop the two packs from the purchased wheel to my original wheel, would it work then?

Yes, it's the packs that decide if it'll work or not (but not as far as the heated wheel is concerned, that's a different story).

Dave

EDIT - Just re read your question, the wheel will work on anything, but the packs have to be for the year, ie., black or white symbol.

The wheel will physically fit, it's the electrical switches that are different

You need 2010/11 switch packs to allow the CC to work Thumbs Up

So how do I know what packs to get?

Plus all I did was remove my old steering wheel, unplug the cables from the airbag and install the new steering wheel.

Should something else been done?

The wheel I got from EBay has these stickers on it.

Whatever colour (black or white) your original packs were, that's what you need.

The colours are a red herring - I think I have seen both black and white symbols post 2012.

Realist you just need a pre MY12 steering wheel - send the one back you ordered (as mis-sold) and buy one without paddle sticks

e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394018269289

I’ve swopped the steering wheels back around and done a return already, send it back tomorrow.

Will look for another one and thanks all for the help.
