I just want to reconstruct the history of the car a little bit.

If the crank was changed in 2009.....it could have done 120000km till now on the bearings.
if the crank was changed in 2014...it means the bearings I have changed are maybe only 60000km old.

this would be terrifying. because it would mean that the new one could look the same way in maybe 3-4years. Big Cry And I would have to do the same thing again.

Anyway...Its up and running again. Milestone

It sounds different to before. much "smoother". but I changed to a different oil typ which could be the reason as well (Amsoil 10W30)

The oilpressure didn't improve. its still very low. below 0,7bar when warm and idling.
After a couple of km I will change the oil to a 10w40.

Thanks a lot for your help!

PS:Maybe its time for a full thread about my car.

Has the original oil pump been changed? Oil pumps on these are only good for around 160k (kms) before they start to loose their effectiveness.

The newer FoMoCo pumps have gear enlargements providing better pressure and flow. The originals were never great at developing pressure anyway, and the newer pumps seem to address this to some degree.

I have never used 10w40 on these but I recommend my customers change to 5w40 for any TDV6 after 160k (kms) provided it does not have a DPF.

So whatever oil choice you make it needs to be compliant with DPF requirements if you have one fitted.

By the way, can I ask you what is the digital gauge you have neatly fitted to the right of the instrument binnacle? It appears to measure voltage and pressure!
