Alarm keeps going off?

My alarm keeps activating at first I thought it was the bonnet as the bonnet open alert kept coming up but after taking the sensor out and cleaning it this yaskt appeared and yet my alarm is still going off.

Any ideas or ways of troubleshooting this, I've got an autel AP200 on the way would this be ablebto help me out?

Regards,
Solomon

Is your car locking or unlocking at the same time? I had a similar problem which turned out to be a worn out button cover on the key fob, the covering had got so soft it would activate a button at the slightest touch when in my pockets. A new key fob from Ebay sorted it out.

My keys still had rigidity so I don't think it's that, I'm really hoping this autel tool will be able to read the fault that causes it it must be a door sensor or something, does the sunroof have a sensor?

Try double clicking the lock button when locking and see how it goes.

I try that and it works sometimes but I just see that as bypassing the problem rather than fixing it, if disabling the interior alarm does fix it what couke the problem be?

Cheers,
Sol

The battery back up siren will sound if the battery inside is starting to fail, you can simply unplug the siren and the vehicle will use the horn instead.

How would I be able to check this and disconnect the battery?

Thumbs Up

I had the same problem which turned out to be the connector between the drivers door and post.

The dash would occasionally show drivers door open, took a while for the penny to drop Laughing

Whilst waiting for a replacement you can simply short out the bonnet connector with a small piece of wire and wrap it in tape - this will stop it from triggering.
