Turning Off Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
I have just taken delivery of my new Disco 4 HSE which is great however it has Tyre Pressure Monitoring System or TPMS.
How can I turn this off when I want to put on my set of winter Wheels and tyres as they don't have the TPMS sensors.
I have seen in the manual that the TPMS system has its own fuse if I remove this will it just disable the system without giving a dash warning?
Regards
Mark

I suspect you will need to switch it off diagnostically .
I turned them off on my last car when I ditched the sensors in the wheelsG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

From MY14 onwards, LR dealers do not have the ability to turn off the TPMS. The likes of Wiggs and Geoff etc. might be able to do so now, but when I asked 6 months ago they couldn't.
My solution was to buy a set of TPMS valves for each set of wheels that I use. I've now sourced used genuine LR ones for £150 per 5 valves, but the first set I got was from Yeovil and cost a fair bit more.

As I understand it the MY15 sensors are different to previous years, so be careful with what you buy.

Mine were MY14 valves, smaller than the previous models, I saw them both. Removed from take off D4 rims at the dealers (so as good as new). £150 for 5 delivered, iirc. That was 6 months ago though, so prices will have changed now that there are more MY14 models about.
PSA TPMS valves are exactly the same size and will work apparently. These were much cheaper, but I went for genuine LR ones.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I'm assuming the ones I got were for a MY2014 and they work absolutely fine in a MY2015.Cheers Ian

If I fit my Winter wheels with no tyre pressure valves in what warning will be given on the dash?
Also does anyone have the part numbers for 2015 model valves?
