I’ve had this centre console off more times than I can remember
If I was to take a guess I’d say it should be connected to one of those key fob sensors that are scattered around the car.. unless you have one connected higher up Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

Some models had a key sensor connected some didn’t. Not something to worry about
