Good afternoon all I am looking for some help if possible. I am looking to change the front of my discovery 3 to a pre 2014 discovery 4 I have been offered a pair of discovery 4 headlights but they are the halogen ones. Can anyone please tell me have they fitted led bulbs in the dipped beam and will they set off the canbus warning. Also do they have the led fairy lights cheers steve

they won't have the fairy lights
In terms of "will they fit" then LEDs should fit and I suspect all on offer will address the CANBus issue. Certainly, one's I've looked at stated they did.
As for MoT ... I was meant to ask my local MoT place if they would fail LEDs when they can't actually see them behind the projector lens ... but ended up someone else picked the D4 up for me so wasn't able to ask. .

The problem with the LED headlamp bulbs that I have seen,
The dipped beam has no pattern, and as such fails the MOT, I then looked and could see the bulbs were LEDs.
The problem is the headlamps are designed to operate with incandescent bulbs that have a specific 'focal point'. The light radiates from this focal point, the reflector (& lens on some lamps) then reflect this light in specific pattern to ideally give good lighting, without dazzling oncoming traffic.
The LED bulbs I have seen do not have a small focal point, and so cannot give a good beam pattern.
So even if the MOT tester can't see the bulb, if the beam pattern isn't correct, it should still fail it's MOT on that. 1994 Defender 300tdi 110 commercial

After some searches I have found a pair of the Xeon lights so hopefully these will work as good as the ones in my d3 at the moment and also have the fairy lights
