Rear seats concealed seatbelts
Hi All
Not sure if anybody else has this trouble. My mother in law is getting on in years and suffers with short term memory loss. Every time we take her out in the D4 I have to latch the seat belt buckle for her as she can't pull out the concealed buckle. She then on occasion has to take the belt off to take her coat off, coat on, move etc etc and then can't clunk clip it back together so I have to pull over and fasten her back in again. She thinks she can do it but sadly not.
Is there a way to not have the seat buckle drop back into the seat every time? I'm thinking of cutting some foam to hold it out but would really appreciate any other pearls of wisdom.

It’s awkward for the kids too especially when the car seat limits space so I cut a bit of polystyrene and wrapped it in insulating tape.

For my kids, I just shoved washing-up sponges underneath the buckles and stopped them dropping away.
Worked fine and got me out of the washing up until SWMBO bought some more... MY2012 D4 HSE in Siberian Silver, 1967 MGB
