so after reading similar posts I checked the front sunroof drains, all were working with no issues, water draining onto the floor and a very good movement of water from the sunroof tray to the exit under the car.
I then removed the A pillar cover and grab handle along with the LH sun visor and then proceeded to lower the roof trim in that corner and I could not see any signs of water ingress, only noticing on the internal rubber seal between the top of the windscreen and body ( I know the screen is bonded but there looks to be a black seal along the top of the screen as well ) which was slightly wet.
next I directed a jet of water on the outside of the screen, top LH corner
then waited a few moments and checked the A pillar to see
in the red circle I could just see the bead of water forming
The windscreen is not original, or a Pilkington's, has anyone ever had the windscreen bonding fail ?
can the screen be re used or is it a new screen, to correct what I think is the bonding failure

Thanks V8man,
I found those posts just after writing up my issue, I have watched the video from PowerfulUK, how to remove the Black trim on the roof, and I will test for a leak on the roof joint then seal it whilst the trim is off - update to followD3 4.4 V8 2005 sadly now gone
