can i drive a short distance with spacers one side only? |
|
alright guys? long time lurker, first time poster. this forum has been a godsend for me, so it’s time to ask a stupid question of my own.
i want to put 30mm spacers back on my disco 3, but i live on a hill and i’ve only got enough room on the flat part of my driveway to get a trolley jack under one side of the car at a time. if i put the spacers on one side and then drive the car to turn it around before doing the other side, am i going to mess up the air suspension/throw any codes/worse? could do without driving a mile from my home to do the work on a flat open area.

Well remove the small 20A suspension fuse from under the bonnet before starting any work
And refit when all 4 are done.
No worries then.

Put all your tools in the car, drive to a clear area and fit the spacers at the same time If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

why would you put spacers on? it will load up the wheel bearings and put the wheels outside of the arches.
