Ghost parking sensors

Hi all

I have just purchased a IID Tool BT for my Disco 3 (2006)

I am getting the following faults under Parking Aid which won't clear:
B1B48-01 Rear left outer sensor
B1B44-01 Rear outer sensor
B1B50-01 RL inner sensor
B1B46-01 RR inner sensor
B1B52-96 Rear sounder

The odd thing is that parking aids/sensors are not fitted to my vehicle, never have been. Its got the original factory fitted rear bumper.
There are also no front bumper sensors, and not getting faults.

In the CCF files the parking aid feature is not selected. I've tried selecting rear parking aid, saving, and then going back into CCF and selecting not fitted to try and clear.

Not really an issue, vehicle is running fine (except the common B1C57 passive start ignition relay coil, but it sounds like most Disco 3 have - won't clear but I'm willing to live with it).

Any tips would be appreciated. It just bugs me!!

Could it possibly be that even though no parking sensors are fitted to your D3, that the wiring loom (equipped for these sensors) is fitted and that’s why the message is showing up on your IID tool?

Just a thought.

Pete you are a genius!

I partly removed left rear plastic interior molding in back and yes the rear parking ECU was there. I've unplugged 3 plugs, and now no more parking sensor faults on the IID tool BT.

Ka pai
