Spot lights - Which ones!!
Evening all, now I've got my rack on the disco I am looking for a set of spots for the roof.
Max 4" size, as bright as possible, I'd like round but open to square and MUST be affordable

Affordable is quite vague, to some £140 if unaffordable where others not. Do you have a budget in mind?

Just remember that to use spotlights on UK roads they are optional driving lights so must have the correct approval mark on, wired to go off with main beam and that total peak reference number must not exceed 100
Now you could choose one of these 4" bad boys
Not legal to use on UK roads but just one of them hand held with no other lights on. Hand held with arm out of drivers window.
Not exactly cheap but has a massive shock resistance of 30G

Lamps can be daft money but I have found the quality has improved, even on the cheaper stuff from even 5 years ago. So the gap between ok and top of the range has definitely narrowed.
That said, Ive bought a couple of LazerLamps. Only the small ST4 led ones, but bloody hell are they good. Approved for use over here (tbh, Ive never been stopped or ever had that checked on other vehicles in the past) made and designed over here and with a 5 year warranty.
More than anything, the coating has come of the heatsinks in the past and the casting start to look scruffy.
Keep your eye out on ebay, there is a reseller from poland who seem to have good deals on the LazerLamp ones.
For the cheaper ones, Raptor have been ok. Im sure most are rebadged tbh2013 Baltic Blue D4 - a balance between family car and camping machine - trying to not bladder it with stuff I dont need!
